Abused Swan

When non custodial mothers' are viewed from the perspective of
"The Ugly Duckling," story, others can gain an understanding of what these mothers are going through.

Remember what it is like as a child to be called names and humiliated. Can you relate to how the swan in the story is feeling
being teased and made fun of?  As a matter of fact, did you know abusive men can not place themselves in another's shoes and
have sympathy for another person? They could not imagine how the swan is feeling being called an ugly duck and being made
fun of.

Abused Swan takes the story a little farther and wants others to imagine how it must feel for the swan to have children by the
duck and now the duck has custody of their children. If you can imagine how the swan felt being made fun of, just imagine what
these children are feeling living with the abusive duck, the father.

Regardless of the mental, physical, and emotional abuse these mothers have gone through, they possess an inner radiance. The
swan is the symbol of grace and beauty. Purple represent Domestic Violence, that these mother’s have been through and these
children are living.

When women focus on the fact that justice will be served, they miss seeing the truth in family court.
Women believe that the court is set up to serve justice. They believe that in a court of law, there has to be evidence in order to
make an allegation. This is not the truth, please do not believe this!
